New American
College Solutions

Statistically, over 90% of high school seniors are not prepared for college
and over a half of college freshmen
fail to graduate.

     - From Scientific American Mind, December, 2007

Our objective is to see that your son
or daughter is not included as a part
of these startling statistics.

Tomorrow's leaders in government, business, finance and academia are being groomed today; and with well over 3,000 colleges and universities from which to choose, and the very real pressure imposed by the tests, essays, and looming deadlines, the college selection and admission process can be an overwhelming task for any family whose sincere
commitment is to the success of their student and future leader.

Our role is not only to simplify the college entrance process for you but also to position your student to successfully graduate from the college
of their choice.

Why College Preparation?

With high student to college counselor ratios (500 to 1 in most public schools) and
also increased competition for a limited number of admission openings, many families typically experience frustration and anxiety over the process and its eventual outcome.

Our primary goal is to work with students and their families to create a strategic plan targeted toward realistic goals; a plan that will emphasize the positives and match your son or daughter with the best possible college choice for them. Our objective will be to make sure that the right plan is in place for a positive outcome, which is acceptance to the college or university of their choice and that they graduate with the highest grade point average possible.

Important Consideration

While you are probably focused at this time primarily on how your son or daughter is
going to get into the college of their choice, what you are probably not thinking about
is how to insure that they successfully graduate from college.

There is a significant trend that you really need to become aware of; and that's the
fact that as many as 60% of the students who start college don't graduate. Why?
The average student has not been taught how to learn and as the result, they're not always equipped to handle the academic load they find themselves faced with when
they get into college.

Departure From The Norm

Our very unique approach to college preparation is unlike the traditional model found
in the marketplace today in that it very effectively addresses all sides of the college equation; what needs to take place before college, what it takes to be accepted into the right college, and then what will be required to succeed in college; the ultimate
goal being to graduate fully prepared to succeed in the career of their choice.

College Preparation Team

Our college preparation team is headed up by Dr. Kuni Michael Beasley, Ph.D. who,
in addition to his work with the Leadership Institute, is founder of the New American
Preparatory Academy
.

Dr. Beasley has a BS from Texas Christian University, an MBA from Oklahoma City
University, a Doctor of Ministries from Tyndale Seminary, and a Ph.D. from the
University of Texas. He attended the Marine Military Academy in Harlingen,
Texas, graduating at age 16 with a full college scholarship.

Dr. Beasley taught college for over 18 years and has served on the faculty
of Northwood University (Business & Government), Letourneau University
(Graduate Business), Dallas Baptist University (Political Science), and the
University of Texas at Arlington (Urban and Public Administration).

Dr. Beasley has been providing SAT Prep courses since 1992, and has helped
literally hundreds of college bound students dramatically increase their scores.

Gateway To College
The Mentoring Program

What's included in the College Preparation Process?

Our experienced college preparation team will work closely with you and your son
or daughter to create a customized action plan tailored to the specific needs of your
college bound student. Whether your son or daughter is in middle school or high school, now is the time to put our knowledge and experience to work for you which will include
each of the following steps (and more):

Initial Introduction

This will be our initial opportunity to begin getting to know each other. During our
first meeting with you and your son or daughter, we will discuss what your goals and objectives are, both your's and your son or daughter's.

We 'together' will begin evaluating the many factors that will be important to
creating the right plan for your student; factors such as academic history, career goals, preferred lifestyle, college choices and locations, being separated from the family and also financial options; information that will be very important to making the kinds
of decisions that will impact your son or daughter's academic and long-term future.

Curriculum Planning

One of the most important factors that will be taken under consideration will be your
son or daughter's grades and their various extra curricular accomplishments during their
middle and high school years. The goal will be to maintain a challenging and stimulating
academic curriculum while keeping them consistent and also active in outside programs.

Accelerated Learning Processes

Our experienced college preparation team will evaluate your student's high school's
profile and recommend courses and activities appropriate for the accomplishment
of their college goals and we will also provide you and your son or daughter with
the tools, the 'accelerated' learning processes and the coaching they will need
to increase their overall grade average during their secondary education years
and to equip and prepare them to succeed in their college career.

Standardized Test Preparation

The second most important factor that will be taken under consideration in the college
admission process (your student's grades being the first) will be your son or daughter's
score on the standardized test they choose to take. We'll help them decide which test
will ultimately be best for them to take; the SAT or the ACT, based on their strengths
and their individual learning style. We will then provide them with the information and
skills they will need to substantially increase their final score.

College Selection

When it comes to determining the best possible college selection for your student, some of the most important factors we will take under consideration will be academic interests, career goals, campus social life, and the overall college environment. After identifying the most important selection factors, we will then work together to narrow down the list of possible choices until we determine the best college or university for your student. We then will go to work on developing the right strategy for gaining admission. We'll work closely with you and your student throughout the entire process providing suggestions, recommendations, and direction throughout every step in the overall college selection and admissions process.

Application Process

The manner in which the application is completed and submitted is extremely
important. The application is a representation of who your student is and what they have achieved, and an indication of who they aspire to become. The application will be the determining factor as to whether or not 'who they are' makes a significant impact on the admissions committee.

Our experienced college preparation team will oversee every facet of your son or daughter's application process to make sure that their strengths are highlighted and effectively maximized. Our team will also work closely with you and your college bound student to monitor transcripts, stay on top of deadlines, polish your student's 'Brag Sheet', assist in the preparation of their resume, their portfolio and also their letters
of recommendation. We will also provide the coaching they will need to prepare the
most effective essay and 'personal statement' possible.

In addition, our team will also work closely with your son or daughter to make sure
they are able to take full advantage of any opportunity they may have to meet with an admissions officer or with a representative from the college, including knowing how best to present themselves and knowing what to ask and how to respond to the admission officer's questions.

College Funding

The average tuition for a four year public college has increased by 8% over last year
and the average tuition for a four year private college has increased by 6% over last year. Our team will assist you and your son or daughter to locate, apply for and qualify for the right scholarship or other sources of funding that will be best for them.

If necessary, our team can also guide you through the FAFSA and CSS Profile application processes and provide recommendations regarding how best to approach financial aid negotiations if and when considering multiple offers from colleges.

Fee for Services

We can provide all the services listed above on an individual basis as needed, or we
can include all of them and more as a part of an all-inclusive, comprehensive strategic action plan designed and created specifically for your son or daughter with their individual needs and ultimate goals in mind.

One of the biggest reasons for our success is that we strive to create the right action
plan for the student while customizing the investment program to meet the unique needs of each family.

Contact us today to schedule a 'complimentary consultation' to determine the best approach to making sure that your son or daughter is fully prepared to attend the right college or university for them and that they graduate fully prepared and equipped to succeed in their chosen professional career.

The SAT is The Key To College - SAT PREP is The Key To The SAT!

The SAT is administered by College Board, and is developed, published, and is scored
by the Educational Testing Service (ETS). The SAT Reasoning Test has three sections:
Math, Critical Reading, and Writing. Scores on each section range from 200 to 800, with scores always being a multiple of 10. The SAT Essay is scored 1-6 with six being the best possible score.

The ACT test was developed by the American College Testing Program. The ACT exam has four sections: Reading, English, Mathematics and Science. A maximum score is a 36. The ACT test is also used to screen college applicants.

Preparing for a test isn't easy, and most test takers have some sort of test anxiety
as they prepare. As your student prepares for their test, they need to make sure that they start soon enough. Knowing when to begin their preparation process is critical to them having enough time to adequately prepare without feeling rushed; and one of the most effective ways to make sure they are prepared to do their very best on their test is to take advantage of the proven techniques found in the Gateway To The SAT.
